LATI LATILON 28D K/30 30% Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polycarbonate (PC)  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polycarbonate (PC); Polycarbonate, Carbon Fiber Reinforced

Material Notes: Description: Latilon thermoplastics are polycarbonate (PC) products. The Latilons feature good mechanical characteristics and excellent toughness even at low temperatures, and good resistance to UV light. Water absorption is low, but a continuous contact with hot water above 50°C is not recommended, as resistance to hydrolysis is not sufficient. Dimensional stability is excellent. Ageing resistance is also very good when the products are free from strains. Reinforced Latilons are among the few polymers to guarantee good mechanical properties also at high temperatures; creep strength is excellent. Continuous no-load working temperature is 135°C (150°C for short periods).

Specific Notes for this Material: 30% carbon fiber; low electric resistivity; self-lubricating properties; very high rigidity; excellent dimensional stability.
