Chesterton ARC MX2 High Wear Fine Particle Wear Compound
Categories: Ceramic; Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: Description: An advanced ceramic composite for the repair and protection of all metal surfaces subjected to severe erosion, corrosion and chemical attack. It is applied at a thickness of 3 mm (1/8”) or more. Non-Shrinking, 100% solids. ARC MX2 is formulated with a high concentration of ceramic beads and fine ceramic particles for extremely abrasive environments where metal loss is often repaired by more conventional and costly weld overlay. ARC MX2 is a long lasting wear resistant surface which frequently outperforms the original metal, rubber liners, ceramic tiles or weld overlay. ARC MX2 is a long lasting wear resistant surface and is chosen over the ARC Composites where risk of dark contamination is critical.

Benefits:

  • Excellent wear characteristics of ARC MX2 extend equipment operating cycles.
  • Tough resin structures resist thermal-mechanical shock
  • Outstanding adhesion results in reliable performance with no undercutting
  • Ease of application reduces labor and downtime costs
  • It can be easily shaped and formed to any metal surface.

Suggested Uses:

  • Cyclones
  • Hydrosparators
  • Hopper Bins
  • Pulp Dewatering Screws
  • Wear Plates
  • Porcelain manufacturing equipment
  • Stock Pumps
  • Ball Mills
  • Cleaner Cones
  • Pipe Elbows
  • Pulverizers.
