Tosoh Zirconia Grinding & Dispersion Media
Categories: Other Engineering Material

Material Notes: Chemical Composition: 95% ZrO2, 5% Y2O3

YTZ Grinding Media, produced from yttria-stabilized zirconia powder, exhibits high crushing strength and wear resistance.YTZ is produced by Nikkato Corporation, one of Japan's leading ceramic manufacturers and a pioneer in the developmentof strength-enhanced Zirconia ceramics. YTZ, due to its high density/crushing strength and relative inertness to most nonacidic fluids, can be more effectively used in most, if not all, water based processes, especially in high speed agitationmills. YTZ Grinding Media survives the harsh conditions inherent in this type of processing. Compatibility with water basedprocessing, as well as lower media disposal costs due to the YTZ's high wear resistance and thus less frequent need fordisposal, make YTZ a friend to the environment. When environmental COSTS are considered, YTZ is the most COSTeffective media available. In addition to a range of standard sizes (mm) 0.3-25, smaller sizes (mm) 0.2, 0.1, 0.05, and0.03, are available for finer and nano-particle size reduction requirements.
