A. Schulman TPP20AE63BK 20% Talc-Filled, Heat-Stabilized, Homopolymer Polypropylene containing 25% P.C.R.
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polypropylene (PP); Polypropylene with 20% Talc Filler

Material Notes: 20% Talc-Filled, Heat-Stabilized, Homopolymer Polypropylene containing 25% P.C.R.

Description: Precolored black

Applications: Primary end use is for AC/heater housings.

Specifications: Meets/exceeds Ford Engineering Material Specification WSH-M4D293-B2.

Comments:
Tensile/Izod Change (1000 hrs./140°C): +7/+3 %; WHS-M4D293-B2 Specification: ±30/±30; ISO 188
Mineral Content: 21.0%; WSH-M4D293-B2 Specification: 17.0-23.0; ASTM D2584
Material Pre-dry: Normally it is not necessary to pre-dry this material. However, if conditions dictate drying to optimize material properties and part appearance then dry in a desiccant dryer at 180°F for 2-3 hours or 160°F for >4 hours.
Manifolds: Maintain manifolds, runners and tips 10 to 20°F above the front one temperature to allow easier filling. (Gate drool is best eliminated using screw decompression rather than reducing tip temperature.)
Back Pressure (Range): 20-50 psi. Injection Speed: medium to fast. Screw Speed: medium. Injection Pressure: Adjust to just above a short shot. Injection Time: Adjust to just above a short shot. Cushion (Range): 0.2-0.5 in. Nozzle Type: Free flowing/Standard.
Some conditions may have to be altered to obtain acceptable parts. Please do not run too cold, molded in stress and rough surface may become a problem. If you must run below melt or temperatures recommended for dimensional precision you may compromise impact and esthetics. Retest parts to confirm performance.
