Material Notes: N-butanol is produced by propylene oxonation and by subsequent hydrogenation of the obtained-butyraldehyde. It is a transparent, colourless, flammable liquid of a characteristic odour.N-butanol is classified according to EC Directives as a hazardous substance. N-butanol is used for production of plastics softening agents, coating compositions and for other synthesis of chemical and pharmaceutical products.
