Solvay JAGUAR® EXCEL Surfactant
Categories: Fluid

Material Notes: Description: Clear grade with excellent wet combing and detangling benefits. Recommended for use in a broad range of conditioning shampoos.

Chemical Name: Guar Gum Derivative

C.T.F.A./I.N.C.I. Name: GUAR HYDROXYPROPYLTRIMONIUM CHLORIDE

CAS: 65497 – 29 – 2

Solubility: Soluble in water at 20°C. Insoluble in non polar solvent.

Available in: Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America

Applications: JAGUAR EXCEL provides good substantivity together with no build up on hair. It allows development of transparent foaming formulations, thanks to its good compatibility with anionic and amphoteric surfactants commonly used in personal care products. JAGUAR EXCEL provides excellent wet-combing and wet-feel properties. It enhances as well the deposition of actives such as silicones, oils, anti-dandruff agents on hair. Ideal for transparent or opaque conditioning shampoos and cream rinses for coloured or damaged hair. Recommended use levels: 0.1 – 0.3%

Note: Viscosity develops within 15 minutes after JAGUAR EXCEL has been dispersed into water under stirring. More rapid viscosity development can be obtained by acidifying to pH 3,5-5 (with citric acid, for example).
