Evonik BREAK-THRU® OE 441 Surfactants

Material Notes: BREAK-THRU® OE 441 is a polyether siloxane, also denoted as silicone glycol.

Application: As additive for in-can formulations, BREAK-THRU® OE 441 can improve the performance of systemic pesticides. It can be easily added to formulations containing hydrophilic oils e. g. ester oils, cyclo-hexanone, or terpene alcohols. Because of its water solubility, BREAK-THRU® OE 441 is also suitable for aqueous based formulations such as SC, SL, EW, and SE. Manufacturer recommends the use of BREAK-THRU® OE 441 for formulations only because its viscosity is too high for tank-mix applications. Please note that the viscosity decreases dramatically with increasing temperature. BREAK-THRU® OE 441 leads to enhanced oil spreading as a consequence of lowering its surface tension.
