Solvay LTF 318B
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Epoxy

Material Notes: LTM318-1B is a matrix system developed for the production of 180°C (356°F) capable tooling using oven vacuum bag processing. LTM318-1B offers a 65°C (149°F) initial cure capability, long out life and, after post-cure, resistance to thermal cycling to 180°C (356°F). LTM318-1B used in conjunction with LTF318B ZPREG selective impregnation technology surface films offers new possibilities for the manufacture of cost effective, high quality composite mold tools.

Features & Benefits:

  • 30 days out life at 21°C (70°F)
  • 12 months storage at -18°C (0°F)
  • 65°C (149°F) initial cure
  • High quality finish after vacuum only cure when used in combination with LTF318B surface film
  • Maximum long-term continuous service temperature of 180°C (356°F) after full post cure
  • Low tool shrinkage
  • Low tool coefficient of thermal expansion
