Saint-Gobain Chemfab® q-GUARD® 215 Insulation Jacketing
Categories: Ceramic; Glass; Glass Fiber

Material Notes: Description: q-GUARD® is a thermally durable and fire-safe composite developed specifically for use with removable and reusable insulation systems. Based upon PTFE fluorocarbon resins and fiberglass, it offers exceptional thermal and chemical protection to insulation systems used in a wide variety of applications in process industries. PTFE has exceptional flame resistance and minimal smoke generation, making q-GUARD® exceed in quality over all coated fabrics available for insulation jacketing.

q-GUARD® readily resists contamination by aqueous and oily fluids and will retain its good appearance in many tough industrial environments for long periods of time. Incidental surface soil may be readily removed, if desirable, with little effort due to the non-stick character of the surface.

Features heat sealability for cost effective modifications or repairs; Non stick surface for clean, contamination resistant surface; PTFE polymer (Two sided coating) is flame retardant, low smoke, low fuel, passes UL-214 vertical burn. All data based on a 0.013 inch test sample.
