Material Notes: Borcoat BB108E-1199-PW is a polypropylene (PP) based compound. The product is white-colored and available in powder form for spray application.

Applications: Steel pipe coating Borcoat BB108E-1199-PW is recommended to be used as an anti-slip "rough coat" layer on top of three-layer-PP based anti-corrosion or multi-layer-PP based thermal insulation coatings. Rough coat may be applied for/when: PP coated pipes installed in steep terrain to increase friction with the surrounding ground; Increased safety during handling and loading operations; PP coated pipes on which concrete weight coating is applied; Offshore pipes without concrete weight coating to improve the grip in the caterpillar clamps during laying operations.
