Total Finaprene® SX 2309 Thermoplastic Elastomer  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Elastomer, TPE

Material Notes: Finaprene® SX 2309 is a radial styrene-butadiene block (SBS) copolymer, which has been especially designed to be used as a thermoplastic elastomer in compounding applications. Thanks to its low molecular weight, Finaprene® SX 2309 provides excellent rheological properties to the compound, balanced with excellent mechanical properties. Finaprene® SX 2309 is a TNPP-free elastomer featuring optimized aging performances.

Application

Thanks to its low molecular weight, Finaprene® SX 2309 suits the compounding industry requirements. Its physical properties, along with the high porosity offered by its crumb form, confer Finaprene® SX 2309 quick oil absorption and easy processing, when used in combination with other polymers or substances, leading to the production of highly technical compounds with high fluidity. Typical applications include sealing gaskets, soft-touch compounds and toys.
