Nylene® NX3055I Nylon 6
Categories: Polymer; Film; Thermoplastic; Nylon (Polyamide PA); Nylon 6 (PA6); Nylon 6, Film Grade

Material Notes: Dry as molded. Film Grade. Nylene NX3055I is an extrusion grade nylon 6 suitable for cast film, blown film, and co-extrusion applications. NX3055I is highly crystalline which yields excellent roll uniformity in cast film. In addition to a low coefficient of friction, it has excellent melt stability, high melt strength, and is gel free. Film from NX3055I has superior grease resistance, toughness, resistance to abrasion, and does not absorb food odors. Nylene NX3055I meets the requirements of FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.1500 for direct food contact. Optimum processing conditions should provide a melt temperature of 525 - 540ºF at the die.

ALM, Nylene Canada, and Custom Resins are all operting companies of Polymeric Resources Corporation.

Key Words: Polyamide 6
