DuPont Teijin Films Mylar® WC11/WC22 Polyester Film, 300 Gauge
Categories: Polymer; Film; Thermoplastic; Polyester, TP; Polyester Film

Material Notes: Mylar® type WC11 films are general-purpose electrical grade films, similar to Mylar® EL. These clear to hazy films are tough and durable as a core wrap. They offer good dielectric and good handling characteristics.
  • Mylar® type WC11 is a single layer of Mylar® WC base corrugated in the length direction.
  • Mylar® type WC11G is a single layer of Mylar® WC base corrugated and also embossed with flat bands at 1/4" intervals in the transverse direction.
  • Mylar® type WC22 is a dual layer of Mylar® WC base corrugated in the length direction.
These modifications improve mechanical protection and serve as a heat barrier during extrusion coating of conductors.

Mylar® type WC11 films combine the tensile strength, dimensional stability, and dielectric strength needed for wire and cable applications.

Typical Applications: Mylar® Type WC11 films possess the characteristics required for wire and cable used in telecommunications and power transmission fields.

Approvals: UL 94 VTM-2 - for 142 - 300 gauge (0.036 - 0.076 mm)
