| Polyfil DLX is a large particle size, very high aspect ratio, delaminated clay that reduces gas and vapor permeability. It is a type of water washed clay which is processed to have a high aspect ratio. Large and platy particles provide effective barriers to gases and liquids and help improve gas retention properties in rubber inner liners and other applications. In the delamination process, KaMin processes kaolin particles (stack of platelets, as they are found in nature) into special wet-grinding, attrition mills.
