Versalis Europrene® 1732 Emulsion Styrene-Butadiene Rubber  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE); Styrene Butadiene Rubber

Material Notes: Europrene® 1732 is an emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber obtained by cold polymerization using a mixture of rosin acid and fatty acid soaps as emulsifiers. It is a high bound styrene copolymer extended with MES oil. A non-staining antioxidant is added during the production process.

Key Features: E-SBR is a general purpose rubber characterized by good processability, mechanical properties and abrasion resistance. It has limited resistance to oil and weather but properly compounded, it is suitable for use in outdoor applications. Due to its composition and different oil, Europrene® 1732 shows higher flowability, slightly lower mechanical properties and improved rolling resistance performance compared to Europrene®/Intol® 1712.

Main Applications: Tire manufacturing and retreading, conveyor belts, hoses and other mechanical goods.
