Material Notes: Hitec HDPE is a high impact, high density polyethylene sheet. It is ideally suited for the manufacture of chemical resistant products which come in direct contact with foodstuffs. Hitec meets the standard established by Food and Drug Regulation 21 CFR 177.52 for all food contact, USDA, and the Department of Canadian Agriculture.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Hardness- Hitec is abrasion resistant and will resist scratching.
  • Strength- Hitec has high tensile and stiffness for machine parts and tank applications.
  • Ductility- Hitec is stress crack resistant.
  • Machinable- Hitec is easy to machine with conventional tools.
  • NSF- The National Sanitation Foundation has approved natural Hitec for food grade contact in food equipment.
