Thermal Ceramics Kaofil XTP Pumpable
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Silicon Oxide

Material Notes: Kaofil Pumpables are a mixture of Kaowool ceramic fibers and fillers dispersed in a high-temperature binder. This mix produces a stable high-temperature insulation which can be placed by forced pumping such as through a Kaowool Diaphragm Pump or a piston extrusion pump.

Kaofil Pumpables can be used in hot or cold repairs. These pumpables will air dry over time. However, at unit operating temperatures, the drying is rapid while still allowing time for the pumpable, under force, to seek out voids. Kaofil Pumpables offer good insulating properties, good strength and vibration resistance.

Features:

  • Hot spot repair
  • One-component pumpable
  • Ready to use
  • Good damming ability
  • Highly insulating
  • Applications:

  • Hot or cold repair to refractory backup insulation
  • Hot or cold repair of boiler insulation, sidewalls, and penthouses
  • Brick kiln crown and walls
  • Coke oven jambs and seals
