Magnesium AM60A-F, Die Cast
Categories: Metal; Nonferrous Metal; Magnesium Alloy

Material Notes: Excellent energy-absorption characteristics and excellent ductility. Slightly higher strength than AM50A, but with otherwise similar properties. Applications for die casting alloy in as-cast (F) temper include parts that require good ductility and toughness with reasonable yield and tensile properties (such as automotive wheels). Should be used only where good salt water resistance is not required. Slightly lower strength but greater ductility and toughness when compared with AZ91 alloys.

Key Words: UNS M10600; Mg; ASTM B 94; European EN 1753 MC21230 (Ingot UNS M10601)
