Material Notes: Applications
ALATHON M 6138, formerly known as XM 6138, is a high density polyethylene resin for use in injection molding applications. This resin exhibits good impact resistance and high stiffness. Typical applications include agricultural bins, crates, trays and consumer durable goods.

Regulatory Status
M 6138 meets the requirements of Food and Drug Administration regulation, 21 CFR 177.1520. This regulation allows the use of this olefin polymer in "…articles or components of articles intended for use in contact with food." Specific limitations or conditions of use may apply.

Processing Techniques
Specific recommendations for processing M 6138 can only be made when the processing conditions, equipment and end use are known.
