Material Notes: Tantalum-Tungsten alloys possess good mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance. Ta2.5W is stronger than pure tantalum, yet it remains easy to work at high temperatures, up to 1 600 °C. Common applications for Ta2.5W are as heat exchangers and heating elements used in the chemical equipment construction field.
