Chemours Tefzel® 280 Resin Modified ETFE
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Fluoropolymer; ETFE/ECTFE

Material Notes: Combines superior mechanical toughness with outstanding chemical inertness that approaches that of Teflon® fluoropolymers. Easy processibility, high-energy radiation resistance. Processed by conventional melt-extrusion and molding techniques.

A higher molecular weight resin for applications requiring extra resistance to unusual environmental extremes, to stresses in processing such as lined chemical equipment, for parts with molded-in inserts, thick sections, or where in contact with solvents that affect crack resistance.

Chemours was formed from former DuPont performance chemicals businesses, including DuPont Fluoroproducts, in 2015.

Key Words: Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene Copolymer
