Thermal Ceramics Kaocrete 250 C Low Cement Castables
Categories: Ceramic; Oxide; Aluminum Oxide

Material Notes: Kaocrete 250C is a high-density, high-strength 3200°F (1760°C) low cement castable with excellent thermal shock resistance and good volume stability. Its low iron content and high hotstrengths provide excellent performance in extreme service conditions. General applications would be precast burner blocks and precast shapes.

Features:

  • High-strength low cement castables
  • Closely controlled grain sizing
  • Rival the low porosity and low hot load deformation of many dense firebricks
  • Applications:

  • Forge furnace hearths
  • Door jambs
  • Lintels and piers
  • Cartops
  • Rotary kiln nose rings, retainer rings and dams
  • Rotary hearth curbs
  • Walking beam furnace hearth
  • Pusher furnace hearths
  • Skid pipe protection
  • Troughs for molten copper
