Formosa Plastics Formolene® 5143N Homopolymer Polypropylene

Material Notes: Homopolymer for Clear, Thermoformed Components

Formolene® 5143N is a higher melt flow polypropylene homopolymer designed for faster cycle time and excellent clarity. It contains a unique combination of stabilizers and nucleation that provide an excellent balance of stiffness and impact strength. Formolene® 5143N does not contain animal derived ingredients, and is suitable for high temperature food processing and preparation.

Formolene® 5143N meets all requirements of the U. S. Food and Drug Administration as specified in 21 CFR 177.1520, covering safe use of polyolefin articles and components of articles intended for direct food contact. Additionally, it meets FDA requirements regarding retort food processing.

Specimens were injection molded according to the conditions specified in ASTM D4101
