Cabot LITX® 66 Conductive Additive
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Additive/Filler for Polymer

Material Notes: Product highlights: LITX 66 conductive additive for lithium-ion batteries balances the need for conductivity, ease of use and cost. It is manufactured in China and is supplied in granular form to simplify handling while preserving ease of dispersion. Due to its unique properties, LITX 66 conductive additive can be used as a drop-in replacement for conventional conductive additives. In some formulations, it can be used at lower loadings than conventional additives, which may enable improved energy density. This conductive additive is primarily used as a cathode additive, but it can also be used as anode additive. These attributes make it a suitable choice for all lithium-ion battery applications that require a balance between performance, quality and cost.

Performance features - Incorporating LITX 66 conductive additive into an electrode can:

  • Improve cycle life, energy and power
  • Simplify handling while maintaining dispersibility
  • Reduce cost
  • Reduce the amount of conductive additive required
Key applications - LITX 66 conductive additive is suitable for use in multiple lithium-ion battery applications:
  • Mobile electronic batteries
  • Electric and hybrid vehicles that feature lithium-ion batteries, including large transport vehicles like buses
  • Energy storage applications, including solar energy panels
