Ductile Iron MIL-I-24137 Class B
Categories: Metal; Ferrous Metal; Cast Iron; Alloy Cast Iron; Ductile Iron

Material Notes: Carbon represents the total carbon in the listed composition. Cerium is an optional constituent in ductile iron. Most ductile irons are specified based on mechanical properties and have loosely defined compositions. Austenitic, stress relieved at 650°C, or solution treated at 950°C if necessary to dissolve carbides. Applications include pressure parts, machine components and propellers and other marine components.

Key Words: UNS F43020, MIL-I-24137 Class B, austenitic
