Mallard Creek Polymers Rovene® 4180 Carboxylated Styrene-Butadiene Emulsion
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Rubber or Thermoset Elastomer (TSE); Styrene Butadiene Rubber

Material Notes: ROVENE® 4180 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a firm hand with excellent strength properties. This binder is a low VOC containing latex that is cross-linkable with external cross-linking agents. ROVENE® 4180 can be compounded to high solids using calcium carbonate, clays, and alumina trihydrate as fillers; sodium polyacrylate thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. ROVENE® 4180 imparts good wet/dry tensile strength, and has good adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces. This product is recommended for a wide variety of applications, including those that require water resistance.
APPLICATIONS: ROVENE® 4180 is recommended for use in industrial coatings, paper saturation/coatings, laminations, water resistant coatings, and specialty nonwoven/textile applications.
