LATI LATAMID 6 Medium Viscosity Nylon 6  (discontinued **)
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Nylon (Polyamide PA); Nylon 6 (PA6); Nylon 6, Unreinforced

Material Notes: Description: Latamid 6 is a family of Nylon 6 with various reinforcements and corresponding properties. They are distinguished by their excellent flowability, moldability, mechanical and electrical properties. Glossy finish can be achieved in a wide range of colors. Parts made of Latamid 6 can be painted without any particular problem. Since the Nylon 6 is a hygroscopic resin, it will easily absorb water from the environment, thus improving flexibility and impact resistance. This may be viewed as an advantage, while in other cases, water absorption develops dimensional variations that are not always compatible with tight tolerance requirements. Furthermore, variation of mechanical characteristics resulting from water absorption will not always be acceptable.

Specific Notes for this Material: medium viscosity; high crystallization speed.

Disclaimer from LATI: This document contains information based on average values as obtained from the results of laboratory tests and observations made on LATI materials.
