Akrochem ROYALAC™ 150 Curing Agent
Categories: Other Engineering Material

Material Notes: Product Description: ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent is an innovative rubber chemical eveloped by Uniroyal Chemical nd now part of Addivant’s ™ Antioxidant & UV Stabilizer Solutions business. It is an ultra accelerator for natural and synthetic rubbers. It is curing agent offers a variety of common features that are similar to other thiruam disulfide type accelerators such as faster cure and good aging properties. Unique properties to 150 curing agent are improved scorch safety, high elongation, and freedom from bloom. Additionally, articles cured with the curing agent do Not emit nitrosamines. 150 curing agent is available as a liquid or as a 70% active powder.

Application: ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent is effective in a variety of applications. It is an ultra-accelerator and sulfur donor for unsaturated elastomers such as NR, SBR, BR, EPDM and NBR. Vulcanizates using ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent as a partial replacement for sulfur have outstanding high temperature aging properties. ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent has been shown to be successful in co-curing polymer blends of EPDM and NBR as well as SBR/BR blends. ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent is more soluble than other accelerators and is non-blooming even up to 5-7 phr in EPDM. Due to the fact that ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent increases cure rate without sacrificing scorch safety, the addition of ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent can be used to increase productivity. Mounting health and safety concerns, both domestic and abroad, make ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent a responsible choice as nitrosamines are not emitted with its use. Better still, ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent is economical compared to other non-nitrosamine ultra-accelerators. ROYALAC™ 150 curing agent has found utility in rubber compounds for tires, mechanical goods, dense profiles and sponge extrusions.
