AGC AR-8018S ETFE
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Fluoropolymer; ETFE/ECTFE

Material Notes: Fluon® AR-8018S is a melt-processable compound based on a modified ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) resin and a proprietary fluoroelastomer. Fluon® AR-8018S maintains many of the desirable properties of ETFE, but in a form that is much more flexible. It is processable by conventional extrusion and injection molding techniques. It is available as a 0.080” pellet

Benefits of Fluon® AR-8018S:

  • High Resistance to Heat
  • Excellent Chemical Resistance
  • Outstanding Physical Toughness
  • Low Smoke and Flame Characteristics
  • Outstanding Resistance to Weather and Aging
  • Good Dielectric Properties
  • Much More Flexible than Conventional ETFE
  • Excellent Processability
Applications for Fluon® AR-8018S:
  • Wire and Cable (Automotive, Industrial, Aerospace, Transit, and Appliance Markets)
  • Films and Sheets
  • Tubing and Pipe
  • Electronic Components
