Wacker Elastosil® R 755/60 Silicone Rubber
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone; Silicone Rubber

Material Notes: Silicone rubber grade developed specifically for manufacturing articles with good steam resistance.

Application: ELASTOSIL® R 755/60 is suitable both for extrusion of tubings and profiles and for compression, transfer and injection molding. Although most silicone rubbers show good resistance to boiling water, they degrade rapidly when subjected to superheated steam at temperatures of 160 °C and above (corresponding to 6 bar pressure) ELASTOSIL® R 755/60 resists steam at a temperature of 160 °C for over 2 months.
