Saint-Gobain CHR® HM650 High Modulus PTFE Film Backing Silicone Adhesive Pressure Sensitive Tape
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Tape; Thermoset; Silicone

Material Notes: CHR® HM650 is manufactured from modified high-modulus PTFE film coated with high-temperature silicone adhesive.

Features/Benefits: The film of both CHR® HM430 and HM650 has been subjected to a special process that lowers its elongation and increases its breaking strength for easier handling. One side has an acrylic/silicone pressure sensitive adhesive and the other side offers low coefficient of friction film, which is thin and conformable. The backing offers excellent high temperature resistance and is chemically inert. This tape construction is weather resistant, stable and non-toxic. CHR® HM650 meets the requirements of MIL-I-23594C Type 1, Class 4.

Applications: CHR® HM430 and HM650 are often used as masking during metal bonding, roll covering on plastic extruders, and for fine wire harnesses. They are chosen for lay flat operations where anti-friction properties and solvent resistance are required.
