LyondellBasell Hifax CA 7442 A Thermoplastic Polyolefin
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyolefin

Material Notes: Hifax polypropylene resins based on the Catalloy process are used in applications such as building and construction (e.g., single-ply roofing), industrial applications (e.g., wire and cable), and automotive industries. Hifax priovides good processability, excellent impact resistance, a broad range of stiffness from very soft to rigid products, high temperature resistance and low linear coefficient of thermal expansion.

Hifax CA 7442 A is a reactor TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) manufactured using the LyondellBasell’s proprietary Catalloy process technology. It is primarily used for bumper and exterior trim applications in Automotive but can also be used as a base resin for technical compounds. It has a high impact performance and reduced shrinkage. The material also exhibits good processability. The grade is available in natural pellet form. Applications: Automotive Parts, Bumpers, Exterior Automotive Applications, Polymer Modifier.
