Evonik Solimide® AC-530-AIMS Polyimide Foam
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyimide, Thermoplastic

Material Notes: Description: SOLIMIDE® foams provide weight savings, improved handling/installation characteristics and enhanced durability compared to traditional insulation, resulting in lower operating and life cycle costs. In addition, the foams are extremely fire resistant and do not support combustion in normal atmospheres. Toxic gas, smoke generation and offgassing are virtually non-existent. These foam products are widely used in private, commercial, and military aircraft. SOLIMIDE® foams are specified and flying in Airbus, Boeing, Canadair, Boeing-Douglas, Hughes Helicopter, and Sikorsky Helicopter aircraft, among others. Meets AIMS 04-14-004, they are also approved for use in NASA systems.
