| Product Description: Accelerator CBTS is a delayed action sulfenamide accelerator for use in natural and synthetic rubbers. It can be compounded alone or in combination with many secondary accelerators. CBTS (sometimes referred to as CBS) provides slightly more scorch safety than BBTS. Application: CBTS yields better scorch resistance than thiazoles. It can be accelerated by thiurams and dithiocarbamates to give shorter cure times. CBTS is non-blooming, but slightly dis-coloring. The recommended dosage range is 0.5 - 3.0 PHR, with the higher level typically being used in concert with an efficient vulcanization (EV) systems and reduced sulfur levels.
