The multilayer tubing system (MLT) 4800 is an innovative ‘low extractable’ 5-layer tube for automotive fuel handling systems. With an outer layer of VESTAMID® polyamide 12, a barrier layer of ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) and an inner layer of VESTAMID® polyamide 612 the MLT 4800 series offers excellent barrier properties against ethanol containing fuels in combination with very low extractables. Like all Evonik multilayer systems MLT 4800 exhibits excellent cold impact properties. Regional specifics may require antistatic properties. These are fulfilled by the multilayer tubing system (MLT) 4840 that is based on the aforementioned design but with a conductive and low extractable VESTAMID® polyamide 612 inner layer.
