SF-50 is characterized by its uniform open cell structure which allows it to be machined to close tolerances. It can be drilled, sawed or modified with conventional tools. For quick construction of structures, SF-50 is easily joined together with Pyrotek's FSC-2000 fused silica cement. SF-50 has excellent volume stability which allows for its use in severe cyclic conditions. Additionally, the absence of any flux or other impurities allows for its use in chemically critical applications. Applications - Back-up thermal insulation
