Bostik PowerElastic™ Flooring Adhesive
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset

Material Notes: Description: Bostik PowerElastic™ is a premium, high strength, solvent-free, single-component, water-based, acrylic adhesive specifically formulated for the installation of most resilient flooring. It is ideal for use in commercial applications with some of the most challenging backings to bond such as olefins. Power Elastic™ is a 0-VOC formulation as calculated per SCAQMD Rule 1168. PowerElastic™ is formulated using special acrylic polymer emulsions and tackifiers that enable either “wetset” or “transitional pressure sensitive” installation methods. It displays tenacious early bond strength, and is specially formulated to be highly resistant to plasticizer migration and staining. PowerElastic™ has been formulated to exhibit a unique combination of application properties including extremely high shear strength, excellent trowelability, fast tack/grab, low odor, easy clean up, and a hard set to resist indentations from heavy rolling loads. PowerElastic™ may be used for bonding rubber, vinyl, LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile), carpet, felt-backed linoleum, and cork floor coverings as well as rubber and vinyl stair treads in high traffic, commercial applications. PowerElastic™ may be used over properly prepared concrete, plywood, cement board, cement based patches/underlayments, absorptive terrazzo and radiant heat systems. PowerElastic™ comes with Bostik’s BlockadeR antimicrobial protection, which inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold or mildew on the surface of the dried adhesive; the dried adhesive resists stains caused by mold and mildew.

Key Features:

  • Exceptional bond strength
  • Excellent for heavy traffic and rolling loads
  • Plasticizer migration resistant
