Synthos Surpren™ H-45 / M-352 Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene

Material Notes: General introduction: Chlorosulfonated polyethylene, referred to as CSM, is a kind of elastomer which has completely saturated main chain and pendant group and can be vulcanized by all kind of cross linking agent. Because of its unique molecular structure, CSM vulcanizate has excellent ozone resistance and weatherability. In additional, properly formulated CSM vulcanizate has excellent resistance to heat, oil, chemicals and aging. SUNPREN™ CSM is chlorosulfonated polyethylene produced by Sundow Polymers Co., LTD.

Characteristic of CSM:

  • Permanent bright colors
  • Superior ozone and weather resistance, even for the formation without carbon black
  • High working temperature up to 150?
  • Resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals
  • Moderate resistance to oil and solvent depending on chlorine level
  • Good flame retardancy
  • Electrical insulating properties
  • Excellent resistance to abrasion and mechanic abuse
Distinguishing Features:
  • Low Chlorine content than general grades, with high hardness and good resistance to cold
Application: Thermoplastic that can be used without curing
