Material Notes:	Carbon grade for plates made to a fine grain practice. The plate is heat treated by quenching and tempering to develop the high strength levels. The steel has high notch toughness. It is used in demanding structural, industrial and machinery applications where weight reduction is important and notch toughness is a design consideration.
