Wacker Powersil® 3500 MH Silicone Rubber
Categories: Polymer; Thermoset; Silicone; Silicone Rubber

Material Notes: Product description: HTV silicone rubber POWERSIL® 3500 MH is an addition-curing one-component compound for the manufacture of press cured articles. The vulcanizates are tracking resistant and show good to very good mechanical properties. No peroxide split products are released during cure or post cure. Cure system is significantly faster compared to peroxide curing materials. Cure time is reduced to 30 - 50 % depending on the wall thickness.

Special features:

    easy demolding
  • dry surface
  • no unpleasant smell caused by peroxides
  • no inhibition by oxygen
  • excellent dielectric properties
  • high arcing and tracking resistance
Application: The grade is suitable for the manufacture of articles like cable accessories e. g. joints, terminations or single sheds for outdoor applications. Specially thick walled articles can take advantage of the fast curing material.
