SSAB Tunnplat Domex® 500MC HSLA Steel
Categories: Metal; Ferrous Metal; Alloy Steel; Low Alloy Steel

Material Notes: HSLA Steel

Characteristics: Some thicknesses of these steel grades are available with a maximum of 0.03% Si for thin Zn coating. If the material is to be hot-dip galvanized and steel with a maximum Si content of 0.03% is not available, the silicon content should be 0.2%..

Domex® MC grade steels conform to the provisions of EN 10149-2 standard and often have better properties.

Property data is for hot-rolled steel.

Domex® is the brand name of hot rolled products from SSAB Tunnplat. Domex® cold-forming steels are modern structural steels. General use of Domex® high strength steels offers a number of benefits compared to ordinary structural steels: Lower weight, Simpler production, Lower creep rate, Longer useful life, Higher load-bearing capacity, Lower transport costs, Reduced stocks, Lower overall cost.
