Material Notes: BELSIL® SDM 5055 VP is a silicone wax. In accordance with CTFA, it is classified as Stearyl Dimethicone. This product displays good compatibility with many cosmetic raw materials including oils, waxes, fatty alcohols, and fatty acids

Application: The main fields of application of this alkyl-functional silicone is skin protection, skin care and color cosmetics. In creams and lotions it improves the efficacy of the formulation and confers a non-sticky, soft skin feel. Due to its high substantivity, enhanced water resistance, and moisturizing benefits, alkyl-functional silicones prove to be advantageous components in color-cosmetics, such as lipstick, mascara, and make-up formulations.
