Phillips 66 HD Calcium Grease NLGI No. 1
Categories: Fluid; Lubricant; Calcium Gellant; Organic Soap Gellant

Material Notes: Description: Conoco HD Calcium Grease is a formulated product, ideally suited for equipment exposed to corrosive fluids, saltwater or extremely high temperatures. HD Calcium Grease is used exclusively by NASA in the space shuttle program due to its resistance to saltwater corrosion. Natural tackiness, water washout resistance and load-carrying ability make HD Calcium Grease useful in large, low-speed, heavily loaded industrial antifriction bearings and slow-speed open gearing. HD Calcium Grease's calcium-sulfonate thickener is a gel or “nonsoap” grease type. This provides a grease which is resistant to oil bleeding, handles high temperatures (up to 500°F (260°C), 350°F (177°C) continuous), is shear stable and is nearly impervious to water washout. Rust and corrosion protection is good, particularly over long periods since water, air and other corrosive material cannot penetrate the gel structure of the grease as easily as with soap-thickened greases.

Phillips 66 Lubricants was spun-off from ConocoPhillips in 2012.
