Bethlehem Steel BETHSTAR Grade 50 1/4 to 2-1/2 in. thick, killed steel plate  (discontinued **)
Categories: Metal; Ferrous Metal; Alloy Steel; Low Alloy Steel; ASTM Steel; Carbon Steel; Low Carbon Steel

Material Notes: Bethlehem's BethStar steels are proprietary grades of steel used for plates only. BethStar is produced as killed steel with fine grain practice, and is available in four strength levels. They are produced by a controlled-rolling process which results in plates having excellent formability, weldability, and impact toughness properties. Normal uses are demanding structural applications where strength to weight ratios are maximized. Frequently used as a replacement for some quenched and tempered steel plate grades. Its formability allows replacement of multi-piece weldments with formed parts.
