GE Advanced Ceramics boron nitride (BN) powder grade AC6069 consists of single-crystal hexagonal particles with an average particle size of 9 µm. AC6069 has a relatively tight particle size distribution, and over 99% of the particles pass through a 325 mesh. The single-crystal nature of AC6069 powder gives it outstanding lubrication properties, and its fineness helps it disperse well in a wide range of media. Applications: AC6069 is commonly used as a release agent and lubricant for high-temperature glass making and metalforming processes. Additionally, its small size and good dispersion properties make it a good nucleation additive for plastics foaming or solidification. AC6069 is also suitable in the broad range of applications for which boron nitride is well-suited – thermal management materials, refractory coatings, hot-pressed solids and composites, etc. GE Advanced Ceramics produces over 75 standard and custom grades of BN powders to meet a wide range of application requirements, and has over 40 years of expertise in the synthesis and refinement of boron nitride powders.
