Protective Coating PC-Rot Terminator® Epoxy Wood Consolidant
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive

Material Notes: Description: PC-Rot Terminator® is designed to strengthen decayed or rotted wood. The mixture is a low viscosity liquid that penetrates porous surfaces filling and sealing voids with an epoxy that cures to a hard but durable component. Rot Terminator® combines an extended open time and low viscosity without solvents. The Rot Terminator® is useful for replacement of missing wood fibers or wood resin. It fills the void in the wood with an elastomer that has strength greater than wood. Typical wood resin has low tensile and compressive properties when compared to cured epoxy polymer in wood. The epoxy act as a binder that glues the wood fibers together. The wood fibers become much stronger in combination with the epoxy elastomer. It is mixed one part hardener to two parts resin.
