| Bentolite 2422 is a specially processed calcium bentonite which is suited for coating applications where control of settling and syneresis are needed. Bentolite 2422 is a high brightness bentonite clay. Bentolite 2422 will also improve hiding. Bentolite 2422 improves hold-out, particularly when used in conjunction with cellulosics. Improved hold-out is useful when painting over a porous substrate, painting a substrate with different densities (i.e. gypsum wall board with joint compound), and touchup of a previously painted surface.
