XTX Composites PETCORE™ T100 Structural PET Foam
Categories: Other Engineering Material; Composite Core Material; Polymer; Thermoplastic; Polyester, TP; Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)

Material Notes: XTX PETCORE™ is a closed cell foam with very good mechanical properties. PETCORE™ comes with improved properties in the XYZ directions, allowing for better structural designs.

PET is a fully recyclable thermoplastic, compatible with Vacuum Infusion, Hand Layup/Spray, Prepreg, Adhesive Bonding, Thermoforming and other processing methods because it is thermally stable - during high temperature processing, there is no outgassing or expansion after post-cure. It is thermocuttable (via hotwire or laser) a fact that permits development of novel surfaces. It is also thermoformable, and thus can be preformed to specified shapes and dimensions without the need for scoring or segmentation.
