Material Notes: CXP stands for Cellulose X-linked Polymer, a polymer made by covalently bonded cellulose. Cellulose is the main component found in trees, it is present in various plants. CXP is a material that can be manufactured by replacing oxygen molecules in the main chain of the polymer, making it into a material that can be injected and extruded. It has the same basic characteristics of wood, but it is easier to process and manage. Compared to wood, it has a better durability, weather resistance, moisture resistance, and doesn't require any kind of lacquer or treatment. It uses forestry byproducts, so it can be produced at a low unit price while effectively utilizing discarded resources.
