Material Notes: Standard Applications: RHODOLINE® 4170 is a very effective APE free anionic wetting and dispersing agent for use in waterborne paint formulations. RHODOLINE® 4170 is excellent in dispersing inorganic pigments like iron oxide. In waterborne coatings RHODOLINE 4170 exhibits improved film properties including gloss, color acceptance and adhesion. Recommended usage levels typically are 0.1 – 0.5% active as wetting agents for paint formulations, 1 – 2% active for pigment wetting and 5 – 20% active on the pigment weight for pigment dispersing.
